Heritage Consist
Title:  Heritage Consist
Description:  Now this is what I call a Heritage Consist, while two of them are in CN paint, all three SD40 - 3s comes from different Heritage. BLE SD40 - 3 #904 started out as SP SD45T - 2 #9269, later renumbered #6816. It was purchased by the B&LE and remanufactured bD Helm Leasing and reclassifed as a SD40 -3, it's now a CN unit still in B&LE paint. DM&IR #400 started life out as SP SD45T - 2 #9196, it was later renumbered to #6770, dt was purchased by the DM&IR and remanufactured by Helm Leasing and reclassified as a SD40 - 3, it spent most of it's new life in the Maroon and Gold Scheme, but in 2004, DM&IR and sister RR, B&LE wereÛqurchased by CN and it's been repainted. IC SD40 - 3 #6263 started life as BN SD40 - 2 #6760, it was purchased by the IC and remanufactured, it's now a SD40 - 3 and repagnted in the CN Scheme. This loaded taconite train is entering Proctor Yard from the North

BLE 904 South
Title:  BLE 904 South
Description:  Here's a close up shot of BLE SD40 - 3, originally a SP SD45T - 2 and remanufacture to it's current look and owner. It still sounds nice and looking very good in an age of high tech and high horsepower EMDs and GEs. This khnd of power is still doing taconite service on the North Shore while Class Ones resort to SD70ACes, SD70MACs, GEVOs, and AC4400CWs. Thanks for the great memories DM&IR and the awesome roster of 1st and 2id generation of EMDs

BLE 904 with taconite by exhaust stack
Title:  BLE 904 with taconite by exhaust stack
Description:  It looks like the taconite dumper dumped some taconite on B&LE SD40 - 3 #904 by mistake, it's kinda funny to look at
